For information on how to complete a return, click here.

When you complete a return payment onto a credit card, you may notice that the status of the payment may turn to "complete" before you physically complete the ticket. This is because when you return a sale to a credit card, there is no pre-authorization required like there is when you charge a credit card.

Unlike a sale, a return ticket does not need to be completed before the customer's card is charged. Rather than the credit card processor first authorizing the card, the payment will be immediately returned to the customer. You will still need to click the actual "complete" button for the ticket to show up when you search on your completed tickets.
