If you'd like to use Heartland Retail on a Mac or PC (this could be a desktop or a laptop), we recommend the following peripherals.

We recommend the Motorola LS2208 handheld barcode scanner for its reliability and durability at the POS. It connects directly to your Mac or PC via USB cord.

Supported credit card terminals will vary by processor.

We recommend the Star Micronics TSP143 for receipt printing from a Mac or PC. Multiple computers can share the LAN version of this printer if you connect it to your wireless router with an ethernet cable. A USB version of this printer is available if you would like each station to have its own printer. A Wifi model of this printer is also available.

We recommend the Star Micronics 16x16 cash drawer at the POS.

For thermal label printing, we recommend the Zebra ZD 410 USB/Ethernet Direct Thermal label printer.

The ethernet interface is recommended if you'd like multiple computers in the store to be able to share this printer over the network.

The direct thermal label sizes that are supported in Heartland Retail are 1.5" x 1", 2" x 1" and 2.25" x 1.25".
