How time zones work in Heartland Retail

If your company has multiple store locations that span across different time zones, Heartland Retail gives you the option of selecting a time zone for each store. This ensures that all sales conducted in each store location are reported in the proper time.

To make changes to your time zone settings:

1. In the top navigation menu, click the Settings link.

2. On the side bar, select Locations.

3. Click the "New" button to create a new location or click on a location's name to edit an existing location .

4. On the location page, you will see a drop down menu called "Time Zone."

If you have stores in different timezones, sales and other metrics will be reported in their respective times.

Additionally, there are certain actions that are not associated with a store location (e.g. gift card adjustments). For these locations, a Default Time Zone will be used. You can choose your Default Time Zone by selecting the "Company" tab in the Settings menu.
