Heartland Retail Connect will normally update itself, but in some cases it may be necessary to update manually. This is a quick and easy process.
Instructions for Mac
First, make sure Heartland Retail Connect is running. You can tell by looking in the upper right corner of your screen, near the power indicator and clock. If you see a small Heartland Retail logo, Heartland Retail Connect is running.
Click on the Heartland Retail logo, which will drop down a small menu. Select About, which will cause the following screen to display.
When the window first opens, you should see the message "Downloading update ...".
This download should finish shortly and be replaced by the message Update downloaded. Install update and restart, as seen in the screen shot above.
Click the Install update and restart link to install the update.
Instructions for Windows
First, make sure Heartland Retail Connect is running. You can tell by looking in the lower right corner of your screen, near the power indicator and clock. If you see a small Heartland Retail logo, Heartland Retail Connect is running.
Right click on the Heartland Retail logo, which will drop down a small menu. Select About, which will cause the following screen to display.
Follow the same instructions described above after selecting About.
